Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classic Boleros from the past as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, and any dramatic performance. She began singing and learning songs with her mother she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After moving to America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. The singer currently sings classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved with a number of local initiatives in both teaching as well as a performer due to her love for art and music. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
